Certified Mediator: In addition to participating in numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars focusing on mediation, Karen has completed a 40-hour certification program in mediation conducted by the Institute for Conflict Management, LLC. ICM is a pre-eminent alternative dispute resolution firm that has trained thousands of professionals in mediation, arbitration and conciliation.

Straus Institute of Conflict Resolution: In 2014, Karen completed a rigorous 42-hour program on Mediating the Litigated Case. The Straus Institute is affiliated with Pepperdine Law School. Since 2006, Pepperdine has been ranked #1 in dispute resolution by U.S. News and World Report.
